The following article was published in the March 5th edition of “Marina Dock Age’s Weekly Waterfront Wire”(https://www.marinadockage.com) discussing the status of the reconstruction of the harbor:

New Orleans Marina Nears Completion of Large-Scale Reconstruction

The delivery of the sections of the floating dock system started on Monday, December 17th 2018, and construction is progressing. As of Friday, March 8th, finger piers were being installed on “J” Dock. Final harbor dredging was completed on Saturday, January 5, 2019.

Please be advised that beginning the week of 10/22/2018, Magnolia Dredge & Dock, LLC is scheduled to begin dredging work in the Municipal Yacht Harbor. Dredging operations will be conducted twelve (12) hours per day, seven (7) days a week, and TKTMJ, Inc. anticipates that the work will be completed in early December.

The proposed Breakwater Drive/Park Hazard Mitigation Plans were presented by the City of New Orleans’ Department of Public Works and All South Consulting Engineers at the June 12, 2018 MYHMC Board Meeting:

The Redevelopment of the Municipal Yacht Harbor was presented by the City’s Capital Projects Administration, Moffatt and Nichol, and TKTMJ, Inc. (contractor) at the April 10, 2018 MYHMC Board Meeting:

The City’s  Capital Projects Administration issued the Notice-To-Proceed (NTP) to TKTMJ, Inc. on April 27th, and the contractor commenced construction on June 15, 2018.

As of June 21, 2017, the MYH Rehabilitation Project was in the Bid and Award Phase:
