It is important to note that the City of New Orleans through the City’s Capital Projects Administration (CPA) is the Claimant with respect to the City’s FEMA Claims in the West End Area. In 2015, FEMA requested that the City submit a “Marina Market Feasibility” (Study) as a requirement in order to resolve the Harbor Claim. The New Orleans Municipal Yacht Harbor Management Corporation (MYHMC) worked with CPA and the City’s Bureau of Purchasing to develop a Request for Proposals (RFP) in order to procure the Study. The City’s Selection Committee unanimously chose the Engineering Firm of Moffatt & Nichol to produce the Study which CPA has provided to FEMA, and it is now available to be viewed here: Marina Market Feasibility Study

What is MYHMC?
The New Orleans Municipal Yacht Harbor Management Corporation (MYHMC), a public benefit corporation of the City of New Orleans, leases and manages all of the City’s property at West End – the property located between the New Basin Canal & the 17th Street Canal, outside of the levee/flood wall, except for Orleans Marina (and the surrounding boathouses and businesses), SYC and a sliver of Jefferson Parish along the 17th Street Canal.
